ISLAMABAD: Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza on Monday announced support for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in the capital on November 2. Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club, Raza said SIC was supporting the PTI’s protest for the sake of accountability of the people in the government. He also criticised the Islamabad High Court’s decision directing PTI to hold its protest in a designated place – Democracy Park and Speech Corner and not to disrupt public life in the capital. To a question on whether workers of his party were involved in the attack on the PTV building during the PTI-PAT sit-in in 2014, he said the government should arrest all those who attacked the PTV building and expose their party affiliations.
