Ufone, Telenor set to offer iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

The two giants of the telecom industry, Ufone and Telenor, are now offering the latest and most sought-after smartphone to Pakistani consumers.

Starting from November 4, Ufone customers can pre-order Apple’s latest smartphones – the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The cellphone will be available at service centres in major cities across the country including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta and Sialkot from November 11. However, Ufone has yet to disclose any information regarding the price of the devices.

Similarly, Telenor has announced that it will also be offering the new iPhone to its customers. However, it has not disclosed any information about its availability and pricing. The telecom firm posted a picture on its Facebook page which reads: “A powerful phone deserves a powerful network. Order your iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on Telenor's superior 4G Network very soon.”

The iPhone 7 and larger iPhone 7 Plus, unveiled last month, come with a new camera technology, 50-metre water resistance and other features. The flagship devices are sold internationally at the same price as the models they replaced, starting at $649 for the iPhone 7 for US customers.

Apple does not have an official distribution in Pakistan, however, its latest flagship device is available through online shopping stores for around Rs85,000.
