Overturned: Tanker catches fire in Rawalpindi

The Rescue 1122 firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze, no causality was reported

RAWALPINDI: An oil tanker caught fire after it overturned in the Gulraiz Housing Society near the Lahore High Court building in Rawalpindi. The derailment of the tanker loaded with petrol prompted the authorities to evacuate the locality. The Rescue 1122 firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze. No causality was reported. The traffic police had to block all roads leading towards the accident which caused traffic jam in the area. SSP (Operations) Irfan Tariq said that the fire erupted in oil tanker after it slipped off the road.
