Prison Break: Van attacked, suspect freed
The outlaws took away the convict and also thrashed the policemen
RAWALPINDI:
Outlaws attacked a police van en route from Lahore to Rawalpindi on Saturday in Sangri and helped a suspected criminal escape. The police said the suspect was under trial for heinous crimes and was being taken to Rawalpindi. When the van reached an open stretch in Sangri, which falls within the jurisdiction of Rawat Police Station, the police found the road blocked with boulders and large rocks. As the police officials got off the van to clear the road, at least 10 armed men ambushed them and held them at gunpoint. The outlaws took away the convict and also thrashed the policemen.
