Moving Forward: Pak-China car rally: Pitstop in Lahore

The rally was meant to highlight the significance of CPEC

LAHORE: The Pak-China Friendship Car Rally on Monday stopped in Lahore after travelling via Lahore-Islamabad Motorway. The participants spent two days in Islamabad and after spending three days in Lahore will leave for Karachi on Thursday. The rally entered Pakistan from the Xinjiang region of China through Khunjerab Pass. There were 20 cars with 52 people in the rally, which will later enter Iran, and then United Arab Emirates. Lahore DCO Capt (retd) Muhammad Usman received the participants at Thokar Niaz Baig interchange of the motorway. The rally was meant to highlight the significance of CPEC. Moreover, a delegation led by the vice-governor of Ningxia province of China, Wang Heshan, met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The officials at the meeting agreed upon promoting cooperation between the governments of Punjab and Ningxia in agriculture, industry, education, health and tourism sectors.
