The three girls, aged between 14 and 15 and students of class nine in a private school in Saudabad, Malir went missing on Friday. The incident came to light when their parents reached the Saudabad police station to report the incident.
The parents said their daughters, all neighbours, went to school Friday morning but did not return home, adding they [the parents] informed the police after being unable to trace them.
Police have registed a case against unidentified persons and also recorded statements of the school administration. Saudabad SHO Muhammad Ali said the school administration said the girls did not attend classes on Friday, adding the police have also detained three suspected teenagers who are neighbours.
Police believe the girls left home on their own free will but nothing can be confirmed yet.
