Briefing: Lt Gen Aamir reviews Ashura security
Mehboob revealed that around 5,000 police personnel have been deployed

Commander Southern Command and other law enforcement officials were briefed by a senior official of the FC regarding the security plans of monitoring the Ashura procession and Majalis on 10th Muharram in Quetta and other parts of the province. The briefing took place at the FC headquarters the Chief Secretary Balochistan Saifullah Chattah, IG FC Major General Sher Afgun, IG Police Ahsan Mehboob and other senior officers were also present. Meanwhile, IG Ahsan Mehboob said that Muharram processions would be taken out from 70 places in different districts of Balochistan. Mehboob revealed that around 5,000 police personnel, 1,000 personnel of the Frontier Corps and other law enforcement agencies have been deployed on routes of the processions and in and around Imambargahs. He added that vigilance cameras had been installed on routes of the processions to help the law enforcement agencies. FC Sector Incharge, Brigadier Khalid Baig, DIG Police, Quetta Range, Abdul Razzaq Cheema, Shia Conference head, Daud Agha and others officials were present as well during the briefing.
