Chasing 374, Karachi Blues resumed their second innings on 47-1 and added 286 runs before losing their remaining nine wickets as Maqsood took five wickets, while Muhammad Irfan and Azhar Attari claimed two scalps a piece.
From the losing Karachi side, Fazal Subhan top scored with 81, Waseem Ahmed made 63 and Khurram Manzoor contributed 58.

“This was our second straight victory and it proved our players’ fitness and skills. It was a close match, and even though our first innings lead means we would have gained some points even with a draw, we are glad to get the result we wanted,” Maqsood told The Express Tribune.
“We have experienced players who have always given us great support and are a major reason behind our performance,” he added.
Like Maqsood, Lahore White’s Umaid Wasim also claimed five second innings wickets as his team inflicted a 96-run defeat over PIA at Lahore’s LCCA Ground in Lahore.

Chasing 414, PIA resumed their innings on 115-4 but were restricted to 318 in 93.3 overs as Fahad Iqbal scored 64 runs, whereas Salman Saeed and Shoaib Khan contributed 48 runs each. In addition to Wasim’s five-for, Adnan Rasool claimed three scalps.
After opening round defeats for both the sides, Lahore now have a victory to their name, but PIA will still be looking to halt what is now a two-match losing streak.
At Sialkot’s Jinnah Stadium, KRL resumed their second innings on 194-5 and added 116 runs before declaring and setting a 365-run target for FATA.
In reply, FATA managed 229 runs for the loss of six wickets and were 136 runs away when the day ended. Muhammad Sarwar top scored with 61 and Muhammad Naeem chipped in with 50 runs.
Meanwhile, in reply to Karachi Whites’ mammoth 628 runs, NBP were bowled out for 318 in their first innings and made to follow on. They had reached 262-3 in their second innings when the play ended.
Elsewhere, at Peshawar’s Arbab Niaz Stadium, the home team were at 247-6 in their second innings in reply to SSGC’s 462 at stumps.
The match at Gaddafi Stadium also ended in the third innings as Lahore Blues, after being bowled out for 277 in their first innings, were forced to follow on and had reached 294-3 on the final day when the day ended. UBL had earlier made 448 in their first innings.
