Gambling suspect: Man falls to death during police raid
Police have shifted the body to a morgue and collected forensic evidence from the crime scene

A 45-year-old suspected gambler died after falling down from the rooftop of a building during a police raid in Harbanspura on Thursday. A police team had launched a raid in Kotli Peer Abdul Rehman area when the suspect ran up to the roof of a house to evade arrest, police said. Once on the top, the victim identified as Liaquat Ali slipped and fell down the building. He died on the spot. Police have shifted the body to a morgue and collected forensic evidence from the crime scene. Police said Liaquat, a resident of Ram Garh in Mughalpura, was a chronic gambler and had been arrested many times in the past over gambling. He was gambling on a cricket match when the raid took place.
