World Animal Day: Students, faculty join hands for animal rights

LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore celebrated World Animal Day at its campus on Tuesday with an aim to create awareness about animal rights.

The varsity’s Vets Care Club organised the event related to Animal Day with the theme ‘Each and everyone of us can make a difference for animals’.

A walk and seminar was held to mark the day to create awareness among people about the protection and conservation of animals, stop animal killings and also their misuse (fights) for entertainment purposes.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha led the walk, where Veterinary Science Dean Prof Dr Masood Rabbani, Life Sciences and Business Management Dean Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad and Parasitology Department Chairperson Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf among a large number of students and faculty members were present.
