KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has constituted a disciplinary committee to investigate violation of party orders, misconduct and undisciplined actions in the local government elections in Sindh.

Former chief minister Qaim Ali Shah will head the committee with education minister Jam Mehtab Dahar and former MNA Aijaz Jakhrani as members. The committee was formed after PPP leaders in Badin, Sanghar, Kamber-Shahdadkot and others districts stood up against each other’s candidates. The misconduct can be measured from that fact that Bilawal’s nomination was also overruled by the PPP’s Matli leadership.

“Bilawal nominated Tanzila Qambrani for the slot of chairperson Malti Municipal Committee, but a son of a former PPP MPA stood up against the party and defeated Qambrani,” a PPP leader said, adding that the same situation was witnessed in Sanghar where two groups of PPP came face-to-face, setting aside party policy.
