Search operations: Eight Afghans among 63 suspects detained

At least 63 suspects, including eight Afghan nationals, have been detained by the police and Rangers in search operations conducted in various parts of the capital over the past two days.
A large number of guns and ammunition were also recovered in the search operations.
Late on Friday, officials conducted search operations in Tarnol and its surrounding areas including Dhok Abbasi, Dhok Paracha, Medina Town, Ittfaq Colony and Sarai Kharboza.
As many as 49 people were detained during this operation, including eight Afghan nationals.
Officials said they had also seized two sub-machine guns, three 12-bore guns, four repeaters, six 0.30mm pistols, one 9mm pistol and two 222 rifles along with ammunition.
Earlier, on Thursday, as many as 14 suspects were arrested by police and Rangers during door-to-door search operations in Bhara Kahu area.
Officials told The Express Tribune that records of all the licensed weapons recovered during the search will be verified.
