ABBOTTABAD: Five shops of the Pir Khan Market in Havelian bazaar were gutted by a fire yesterday. Sources in rescue services said that a fire erupted in a food vendor’s store at 10pm on Sunday. The ensuing flames spread and engulfed four neighbouring shops reducing them to ashes. According to details, the engines of the fire department could not respond in time, forcing the administration to call Rescue 1122 from Abbottabad. One of the affected shop owners, Arshad, said that Tehsil Municipal Administration Havelian was responsible for the losses.
