KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) will start a ‘grand’ operation against defaulters in all six districts of the city from today (Monday). According to a press statement, three teams for each district have been constituted for the operation. Action will be taken against all multistoried buildings, high-rise flats, restaurants, marriage halls and residential areas, said KWSB managing-director Misbahuddin Farid.

atif | 8 years ago | Reply The main water line providing water is frequently damaged by criminal elements to get illegal water connections. (Violation of section 14-A of KWSB Act 1996) This unlawful activity contaminates and pollutes the water and causes scarcity of water to the bungalows. KWSB bill paying consumers are compelled to use expensive bottled water. This is the plight of water bills paying citizens with no outstanding arrears. To cut the long story short immediate and fool proof solution to the problem is to be found by KWSB otherwise we are not liable to pay KWSB bills and take the matter to the highest Authorities Many complaints have been lodged with the KWSB but we regret to say that no action has been taken by the Water Board. The present position has further worsened – not a bucket of water is provided – this is due to hundreds of illegal connections in the main water line in PECHS Block 6
