Air chief expresses satisaction over PAF's operational readiness
Air Marshal Sohail Aman visits operational base during High Mark 2016 exercise
Chief of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Marshal Sohail Aman has expressed satisfaction on the operational readiness and training of the PAF combat crew, reiterating to protect the sovereignty of the country at all costs.
During his visit to an operational base of exercise High Mark-2016 on Sunday, the air marshal was given a comprehensive briefing on the first stage of the exercise, said a PAF statement.
Nearly two dozen flights from Islamabad cancelled due to PAF exercises
The PAF had closed on Thursday the Lahore-Pakistan motorway to let it practice landing jets on the road, in what it said was routine training not related to heightened tension with India after a deadly attack in the disputed Kashmir region.
The attack in the frontier town of Uri — the latest in a decades-long dispute over Kashmir, claimed and held in part by both India and Pakistan — has raised new fears of military conflict between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

The air chief met the combat crew participating in the exercise, and appreciated their motivation and resolve to carryout the assigned task.
Air Marshal Aman said each individual in PAF was ever ready to give a befitting response to any aggression.
