LAHORE: Two young men died when a truck crashed into their motorcycle in the Shera Kot area on Saturday. The victims Usman and Aziz were travelling on a motorcycle when a speeding truck loaded with vegetables collided with their vehicle near Band Road, police said. The victims were severely injured and shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival. Police have moved the bodies to a morgue, collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded the statements of the eyewitnesses. Police have taken the truck driver into custody and registered a case against him. Initial investigations suggest the suspect fell asleep on the wheel. Further interrogation would help ascertain the facts, police said.
