Healthcare: 3-day workshop on endoscopy ultrasound soon

LAHORE: The Lahore General Hospital and the Asian Endoscopy Ultrasound Group have planned to hold a three-day Endoscopy Ultrasound and ERCP Workshop from September 29 to October 1. Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Principal Ghiasun Nabi Tayyab said the workshop would help junior doctors enhance their professional capabilities. “It will also help raise awareness regarding modern treatments for complications of the liver and stomach.” Several local and international experts on diseases related to the liver and stomach will attend the workshop. The participants include Dr Muhammad Khalid Hassan of Florida Hospital, Orlando, and Dr Ali Ahmed Siddiqui from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, who will deliver lectures. As many as 50 patients will undergo an endoscopy ultrasound for free during the workshop and process would be shown live to participants.
