Founder Group sweeps ICCI elections

Winners vow to work for betterment of traders

The Founder Group has swept the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) elections, said a press release issued here on Saturday.

Founder Group candidates — Khalid Iqbal Malik, Nisar Mirza, Faheem Khan, Raja Abdul Majeed, Khurram Majeed and Shehzad Siddiqui —- won the polls with majority votes.

Nasir Khan was the chief election commissioner while Abdul Ghaffar Chaudhry and Muhammad Hussain were members of the election commission.

Founder Group Chairman Khalid Javed thanked the traders for reposing confidence in the candidates fielded by his group.

Javed said the victory of Founder Group candidates reflected the confidence of the business community based on their competent performance.

ICCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh, ICCI Senior Vice-President Sheikh Pervez Ahmed, ICCI Vice-President Sheikh Abdul Waheed and others congratulated the winners and hoped that they would work to serve the cause of the business community.

They also assured the winners of their full cooperation to resolve the issues facing the traders. The winning candidates vowed to work for the betterment of the traders and protect their interest through the platform.
