RAWALPINDI:
A man reportedly shot and killed his mother in Chakwal for not cooking food to his liking.

Meanwhile two men were killed in two unrelated incidents, and a child molestation case was registered, a police officer said on Saturday. He said the police registered separate cases and have started investigations.

Man kills mother

Imran Haider allegedly shot and killed his mother Rasoolan Bibi, 50, at their home in Mohallah Islampura because she did not prepare the meal he had wanted to eat.

The killer managed to escape after committing the crime, the police officer said. Police registered a murder case against Haider on the complaint of Muhammad Bashir, the victim’s widower and the suspect’s father, and started investigation. Haider had not been arrested till the time this report was filed.

Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) Sub Inspector (SI) Ali Abbas confirmed the incident and said the police were trying to arrest Haider.

Meanwhile, a man was murdered in Hazro, Attock over a monetary dispute, the police officer said. He said Javed gunned down Sabir in Gondal village after the two had a dispute over money. The police registered a murder case at Attock Khurd Police Station and launched an investigation.


In Tarnol, the body of a retired army official was found at his workplace, the police officer said. He said that Nazir Ahmed, hailing from Pindigheb, was working as a security guard at Habib Construction Company near Tarnol.

He said labourers found Ahmed dead in his quarter and informed the police, who moved the body to hospital for post-mortem.

He said according to the initial post-mortem findings, Nazir had been strangulated to death. Hr said the killer remains unidentified but a murder case had been registered by the Taxila police.

Child molestation case

A seven-year-old boy was allegedly molested by a ‘young man’ in the Westridge area.

According to sources, AA*, the father of the child, appeared before Westridge police and lodged a complaint stating that MA* took his child HAA* to Siddiqui Plaza, where he molested him. The police registered a case and started investigation after a medical report confirmed the assault on the child.
