ISLAMABAD: A man escaped an attempt on his life in Arsalan Town within the jurisdiction of the Koral Police Station. Hanifur Rehman, the victim, lodged a complaint with the police that he went to greet his friend, Shahid, where Nayar Iqbal, a relative of Shahid, opened fire on Rehman after an argument and injured him. Police had registered an attempt-to-murder case against the suspect but have not arrested him yet. ASI Tariq Mehmood, who is investigation officer for the case, said the complainant did not want to pursue the case after the two parties agreed to an out-of-court settlement.
