"Any compromise on corruption will threaten the integrity of Pakistan," warned PML-F's provincial leader Pirzada Yasir Rashdi at a press conference in Hyderabad on Friday.
He referred to an ongoing case in the Sindh High Court over alleged corruption of Rs90 billion in the Larkana development package.
However, Rashdi tacitly expressed a lack of confidence in the accountability institutions of the federal and provincial government, insisting that only a military-led accountability process can serve the purpose.
"The PPP government in Sindh has destroyed the province," he said.
"The education, health, roads and infrastructure - everything is in a shambles."
Rashdi went on to demand an army-led probe against all the politicians and bureaucrats allegedly involved in money-laundering and called for bringing back the allegedly looted money to the country.
"For the people of Pakistan, the hope for any good rests with the Pakistan Army, which symbolises the federation," he observed. The PML-F leader also demanded legal action against the politicians who incite people against Pakistan and its institutions.
Responding to a query, Rashdi refused to give credit to the Sindh government for construction of motorways in the province saying that all the required funds have come from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
