
He was speaking at the meeting of Shura Hamdard Karachi chapter, titled 'Revival of ideology of Pakistan and need of national unity' on Thursday. Speakers urged the government to start a programme on a national level to infuse the public with enthusiasm of Pakistan Movement and imbue them with national pride in order to promote unity, fraternity and solidarity among the people of the country.
The Council of Islamic Ideology was never meant to be a permanent body, so why does it still exist?
They were of the view that some external forces were trying hard to create hatred and dissent among them.
Masud said that during the Pakistan Movement, everyone talked about Muslim cause, ideology and creation of Pakistan. According to him, that thinking and enthusiasm is needed today more than it was sought before in the history of the country.

Hamdard Foundation Pakistan president Sadia Rashid said that according to the sayings of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, the ideology of Pakistan was based on following the teachings of Islam, protecting the Islamic civilisation and values, adopting simplicity and contentment and continuous struggle for solidarity, progress and prosperity to make the country an Islamic and invincible modern state.
An ideology of hate
Brig (retd) Jawed Hasan said that from the very beginning, the political system of the country had been imbalanced.
According to him, the parliamentary system of government has failed and the nation should think about alternative systems of government, which could involve the best brains of the country into government and pave the way for concrete national unity.
According to Prof Dr Tanvir Khalid, Pakistanis should inculcate the real understanding of the ideology of Pakistan in the minds of the youth as the ideology is vital for integrity, patriotism and performance of duties.
