FAISALABAD: As many as 10 power pilferers were caught by Faisalabad Electric Supply Company on Wednesday from various parts the city.
FESCO spokesman Tahir Sheikh told newsmen that inspection teams had caught Muhammad Aslam, Muneer Ahmad, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Muhammad Ashfaq and Shahid Hussain from Chak 66-JB, Ejaz Ahmad from Ali Garden Colony, Abdul Majeed from Chak 84-JB, Gul Khan Pathan from Chak 75-JB, Sohail, Ishtiaq Ahmad from Chak 241-RB Chinchalwala and Muzammal Hussain from Chak 199-RB stealing electricity from FESCO main lines.
He said the teams had removed their electricity meters and issued them detection bills. He said complaints had also been moved against them at relevant police stations.
Repair and maintenance
The FESCO has issued a shutdown programme for Thursday (today) for repair and maintenance of electricity lines.
According to the programme issued by the company, power supply from Sohal, Kamal Spinning, Thikriwala and Al-Khaliq feeders (connected to the Thikriwala grid station) will remain suspended from 8am to 2pm. Power supply to Parco, Jhumra City, Barnala and Sultan Nagar feeders (connected to the Chak Jhumra grid station) will be suspended from 8:30am to 2:30pm.
Supply from National Colony, D-Ground and Peoples Colony feeders (Jaranwala Road grid station) will remain suspended from 8am to 1pm, whereas Gojra Industrial Mills, Hamza Board Mills, Mongi Road, Toba Road and Dowakhari feeders (Gojra grid station) will be closed from 9am to 1pm.
Power supply to Shadman, Madni, Rasool Park, Manzoor Park, Hajwairi Town, Haq Bahoo, Islamia Park, Raja Road, DHQ and Ameen Town (of the OTP grid station) would be suspended between 9am to 12pm. The same schedule would be followed for the WASA, the PMC, Industrial Estate-1, Mansooran, Bahadur Wala and Sitara Sapna feeders of the Small Industrial Estate Faisalabad grid station.
