Soldier’s murder: Witnesses identify two suspects
The suspects are on physical remand with the Artillery Maidan police
KARACHI:
Three witnesses identified on Monday two suspected robbers, charged with the murder of a soldier, before a judicial magistrate.
The witnesses picked out the two suspects, Kamran alias Bengali and Imran, as those who allegedly killed army soldier Amjad over resisting a robbery.
According to the prosecution, the suspects were robbing two brothers travelling in a rickshaw at Lucky Star, Saddar, on August 24. The soldier who was there in plainclothes intervened upon seeing the robbery bid and tried to get hold of the suspects. One of the suspects opened fire and shot Amjad, added the prosecution. The suspects are on physical remand with the Artillery Maidan police.
