At least one police personnel was killed while three others, including a child, were injured in a roadside blast which targeted a police mobile in Peshawar on Sunday, just two days after security forces killed four suicide bombers in the same area.
The vehicle was targeted within the jurisdiction of Mathra police station.
An improvised explosive device (IED) weighing 3kg had been planted, said SSP Operations Peshawar Police Abbas Majeed Marwat.
Body of the 45-year-old Naveed, a police constable, was received at the hospital, Lady Reading Hospital spokesperson Zulfiqar Babakhel told The Express Tribune. He was the driver of the van.
Police soon launched a search operation to arrest the suspects, while further investigation was underway.
