Theft, robbery: Seven suspects arrested

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police claimed to have arrested seven suspected thieves and robbers and recovered stolen valuables and a pistol from them.

The suspects wanted in various theft and robbery cases were nabbed by the SIU of the Islamabad Police.

A 30-bore pistol with ammunition, two motorcycles, gold jewelry, one laptop, three mobile phones and equipment used for robbery were recovered from them.

The suspects were identified as Tahir Ashraf, Riaz Haider, Irfan Haider, Muhammad Nadeem, Amanullah, Naveed Akhtar and Qamar Abbas.

Ashraf, Riaz, Irfan and Nadeem confessed to looting a house in I-10/1 and they had been booked by the Sabzi Mandi police.

Amanullah had been booked by the Bhara Kahu police for snatching a mobile phone from a man. He was also wanted by the Murree police in another mobile phone theft case.

Akhtar and Abbas along with a few women accomplices had been booked for looting a house in I-8/4.
