100 filtration plants to be set up in Multan 

“We have imported modern purification machines for the plants,” says DCO

MULTAN: The district administration has launched construction of water filtration plants across the city, DCO Nadir Chattha said on Friday. He said the district administration would set up 100 filtration plants at a cost of Rs40 million.

The DCO said the district government would set up the filtration plants in high schools of each union council in the city. Chattha said 100 schools had been selected for this purpose. He said the school principals and the chairmen of concerned union councils would supervise installation of the filtration plant. “We have imported modern purification machines for the plants,” he said. He said water quality in the city was also being tested.
