Embezzlement: Nine ZTBL officials arrested

The suspects will be produced before a judicial magistrate today (Tuesday)

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday arrested nine officials of the Zarai Taraqiati Bank (ZTBL) for allegedly embezzling Rs7.3 million from the bank’s pension funds. The FIA conducted an inquiry on the complaint of the ZTBL. Following the inquiry, the agency registered a case against the suspects and arrested them on Monday. The suspects were identified as Babar Sultan, Khawaja Shafique, Tahir Mehmood, Shafique Butt, Sohail Kiyani, Saeedullah Khan, Muhammad Afzal, Abdul Hameed, and Gulab Ali Khaki. The suspects will be produced before a judicial magistrate today (Tuesday).
