Taking Action: KWSB serves notices on defaulters 

Farid said action would be taken against officials who show negligence in the recovery of dues

KARACHI: The water board served on Monday notices on its major defaulters, which include University of Karachi (KU), Pakistan Steel Mills and Site Super Highway. According to a press statement, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) served notices on the direction of its managing director Misbahuddin Farid. Pakistan Steel Mills defaulted Rs1.2 billion, while Super Highway defaulted Rs60 million, of which it only paid Rs1 million. KU has defaulted Rs10 million and their cheque bounced, said the press statement. Farid said action would be taken against officials who show negligence in the recovery of dues.
