The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) cabinet on Wednesday approved implementation of Anti-Money Laundering, Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regime in the province.
Under this regime, public entities and reporting entities dealing in real estate agents register as Designated Non-Financial Business and Professions (DNFBPs) under the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur and attended by ministers, advisers, special assistants, chief secretary, additional chief secretaries and all relevant administrative secretaries.
The meeting was informed that 518 major decisions had been taken in 19 meetings of the present cabinet of which work on over 486 has already been completed while work on seven such decisions was on target and just nine were overdue.
The cabinet approved re-inclusion of four AIP schemes of the energy and power sector as non-ADP schemes in the Provincial ADP for 2024-25. The schemes are related to construction of grid stations in South Waziristan, Tirah Maidan Khyber, Mamund Bajaur.
The meeting also approved the enhanced cost for establishment of Trauma Center in District Hospital in Lakki Marwat to Rs698.046 million, and the up-gradation of Talash Hospital, in Lower Dir from Category D to C. It also approved one-time Rs20 million grant-in-aid to the mission hospital (Dabgari Gardens) Peshawar.
The cabinet sanctioned the enhanced cost of the ADP scheme of standardisation and up-gradation of sports playground and sports facilities in K-P.
The cabinet approved signing of the grant agreement for the German-funded (KFW) Billion Tree Afforestation Support Project. This agreement is being signed for BTASP phase II. The German ministry of economic cooperation and development (BMZ) through KfW has provided a grant of 13.5 million euros for execution of the Billion Tree Afforestation Support project (Phase-I) to the government.
It also approved the transfer of ownership of government land from Agriculture Department to Elementary & Secondary Education Department for Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education DI Khan; the transfer of 300 Kanal land from Agriculture Department to Elementary & Secondary Education Department for Girls Cadet College DI Khan.
