Earlier this month, the press received invites to a PlayStation Meeting from Sony which got everyone thinking that the tech giant might be revealing its new gaming console codenamed NEO.

The event is slated to be organised on September 7. It will be held at the Play Station Theater in New York. So far, experts had been arguing on what the new console might feature in the specs department with some suggesting an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive and VR.

Now, we might have an idea as to what the device will look like. A Play Station console is up for auction on eBay which seems to be the new device that Sony might reveal at the September event.

The images attached by the seller show a device that is slimmer than the current Play Station 4 console and features a matte black finish with rounded edges. Pictures of the packaging are also included. They reveal that the device will come with a 500 GB hard drive.

Sony releases slimmer versions for its Play Station updates as seen in the past. This is why tech experts have been arguing that the device available for auction may simply be a PS 4 Slim and not the rumored flagship Play Station Neo device.

We’ll know for sure whether we’re getting a slimmer update or a brand new flagship console at the September 7 event.
