Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday said the provincial government is “committed to protecting minorities” and added that “it is mindful of their considerable contribution towards building and sustaining a prosperous Sindh”.

In a message issued by the CM House, the chief minister said: “The Pakistan Peoples Party remains committed to the ideals of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who believed in safeguarding minorities. “We are, in essence, protecting the true spirit of Pakistan. Our commitment to the rights of minorities has been an integral part of our core priorities.”
The chief minister said at this juncture in our nation’s history, we must strive to develop and maintain interfaith harmony, which is imperative to our peaceful coexistence.
