Firefighter killed, two injured as electric cables fall during rescue operation in Lahore

According to reports, rescue officials were extinguishing a fire when broken electric cables fell on them

LAHORE: A firefighter was electrocuted to death while two others were injured in Lahore after broken electric cables fell on their vehicle as they were busy extinguishing a fire which broke out in Iqbal Town area of the city on Wednesday, Express News reported.

According to reports, rescue officials were busy extinguishing a fire in Iqbal Town when electric cables fell on them electrocuting to death one firefighter on the spot while another two were seriously injured.

The injured were rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment while the body was handed over to the relatives of the deceased after completing medico legal formalities.

Police are investigating the incident.
