Saira Rizwan’s cotton silk skirt with navy blue printed checks is from the designer’s ‘Omorfi’ collection. The skirt has a long, modern cut, and it can be styled with multiple fusion tops, in a variety of ways.

I don’t like conforming to a specific style because I’m always open to stepping out of my comfort zone and experimenting. I wanted to try something new, so I wore with a denim dress, and to add a pop of colour, I wore neon yellow shoes. My accessories tend to be simple if my outfit is bold, so I only wore two relatively simple necklaces and a couple of rings. For my make-up, I opted for my signature look, which comprises of soft pink lips, contouring on the eyes, adding blue liner to make it slightly formal, with soft waves for my hair. I would wear this outfit to a get together, a birthday, or any celebration for that matter.

I’d describe my style as being a mix between classic, feminine, and eclectic. I literally had five minutes to style this skirt, which is nothing out of the ordinary for me — it happens almost everyday due to my unpredictable schedule! I picked out the first thing I saw in my closet, which was a simple white shirt and silver heels. I didn’t want to over accessorise so I just stuck to my signature gold rings that I’m always wearing with a white organza choker. My hair and make-up was kept simple, I got a basic blow-dry with centre parting. I’m considering taking this outfit with me to Turkey for a friend’s wedding.

I tend to mix a little ethnic element in my dressing, mostly with my accessories like the ones I wore with this Saira Rizwan skirt. For this look I chose a breezy white shirt, which I tucked into the skirt. I then pulled up the skirt to make it look like a high waist. I kept my make-up light and simple and for my hair, I made a last-minute messy-bun. I’d wear this for a day out somewhere abroad, as I think it makes for an amazing, casual street-style look.
