ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has voiced concerns over the state of Pak-US relations amid reports of the Pentagon withholding the share of military reimbursements to Islamabad.

Pakistan to take part in US air show

In an otherwise dull day at the National Assembly (NA) on Thursday, PTI’s Dr Shireen Mazari demanded explanations while referring to two media reports related to the payment of $300 million by Washington and the participation of Pakistan in an aerial exercise in the US alongside Israel.

“We do not recognise Israel. The defence minister should tell whether reports about the exercise in US are true. If this is true, then tell us why are we taking part in the exercise?” Mazari said.

Pentagon not to pay Pakistan $300 million in military reimbursements

Referring to the other report on Pentagon not paying Pakistan its share of military reimbursements, she asked the government for an explanation saying ‘whether or not we would act as per the dictates of the US’.

Adnan Qureshi | 8 years ago | Reply China is the new US as far as Pakistan is concerned. Whoever makes the decisions for Pakistan has burned all the bridges. I can't see how Pakistan can go back to being the blue-eyed boy of the US again.
