FAISALABAD:
Two people were murdered and four died in accidents on Sunday-Monday in Faisalabad district.
A police spokesperson said on Monday that a woman was shot dead by her father’s rival’s son. Ahmad Ali and Saeed Ahmad, residents of Chak 134-JB, had had a quarrel over money.
Ahmad’s son Asif had shot at Ali’s family. Kausar, Ali’s daughter, was hit by a bullet. She died before she could be treated, police said. Asif had fled the scene, they added.
Separately, an unidentified man shot and killed Asif Manzoor, a teenager, and injured his friend in a Jaranwala police precinct. Police said Manzoor’s friend was taken to a hospital for treatment. Doctors later said his condition was serious.

Police said 65-year-old Mureedan Bibi died after a wall of her house on Maqbool Road, People’s Colony, collapsed on her. The spokesperson said Tufail Ahmad, a resident of Chak 276-JB, and Asif, a resident of Eden Garden, had died in two road accidents. He said police have taken their bodies to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
