KARACHI: The national selection committee led by Inzamamul Haq has announced 31 players for the High Performance Camp to be conducted at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

As expected, Ahmad Shahzad and Umar Akmal have been neglected for the camp, which is essential for ODI and T20I selection against England.

Surprising, there is still no place for left-hand batsman Fawad Alam, whereas the selectors have recalled Umar Gul, Junaid Khan and Bilawal Bhatti.

Meanwhile, top performers for Pakistan A such as Hasan Ali, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Hasan have also been called up.

The three-week camp begins from August 1.
