Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's latest film Kabali is all set to hit the theaters on Friday and, if reports are to believed, businesses in southern India have given their employees the day off to watch the film.
Apparently, the decision was made so that the people don't make excuses to avoid work, reports BBC.
"We did it to avoid sick leaves, mobile switch offs and mass bunks," said a Bangalore-based company.

"We have declared a holiday to avoid piled up leave requests to the HR department," said another firm.
Employers in Chennai and Bangalore are also giving away free tickets to their employees.
Kabali is bound to set some new records as it has already raked in around $30 million by selling its rights.

Although, Rajinikanth is said to be one of the most bankable stars in India, the makers are leaving no stone unturned in order to promote the upcoming gangster drama.

Earlier, Malaysian airline AirAsia introduced a special Kabali flight from Bangalore to Chennai.
It's been reported that the flight serves Rajinikanth's favourite food on-board and will also carry 180 fans to watch the film on the day of its release, July 22.
