For Android users fond of taking pictures on their smartphones, the wait is finally over as Prisma has begun Beta testing its app for the software.

The viral photo app has only been available on iOS for around five weeks but has had immense success across the globe. Prisma is already the number one app in over 40 countries and has been downloaded over 7.5 million times despite only being available on iPhones uptil now.

Forget Instagram, you need to download this app now

The photo app is used to apply unique effects and colours to pictures already on the phone. Prisma has so many different effects and filters that the possibilities are endless and one can keep playing with the same picture.

However, Prisma has confirmed that they are in the process of adding several new features like Prisma video, 360 degree photos and a large selection of new styles to transform your favorite photos into pieces of art.

These 20 iPhone pictures prove you don't need a DSLR to capture stunning images

Given the response Prisma has received on iPhones, it is likely that it will soon be in the top charts of the Google Play store.
