ISLAMABAD:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday decried “uninformed, politically-motivated” opinions being splashed across the media by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan. Referring to a statement of the PTI chief regarding the closure of investigation against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, a NAB spokesman said successive investigation teams and prosecution authorities have repeatedly recommended the closure of investigations against Ishaq Dar for want of incriminating evidence. The investigation against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, pending for over 15 years, was conducted strictly in accordance with the law and procedure. No such case against Dar is pending before any court, the spokesman mentioned.“NAB discharges its statutory mandate with utmost objectivity without any bias for or against any person, political party or institution,” he said.
