A female student of Army Public School, Peshawar has secured first position in Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSC).

Manaal Amir of the APS got 1,032 marks in Science Group as announced by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad, Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday.

The remaining two positions were also secured by the female students, whereas the first position in Humanities Group was achieved by Areej Sajjad of Fauji Foundation College for Girls, Rawalpindi Cantt with 985 marks.

As many as 63,711 regular candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 58,081 successfully passed.

Minister of State for Federal Education Muhammad Baleegur Rehman distributed gifts to the position holders.
