A 42-year-old transgender person was shot dead by unidentified assailants within the Ratta Amral police jurisdiction on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Mir Hussain alias Shehla, a resident of Lahore, was found murdered near a bridge in Dhoke Darzian. The incident came to light when a passerby spotted a body and informed the local police who shifted it to the district headquarters hospital for medico-legal formalities. However, motive behind the murder could not be ascertained. The police have registered a blind murder case and started an investigation.
