Man attacked by rivals

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Rahim Yar Khan police on Friday arrested three men for attacking another man with acid. A Khanpur Saddar police spokesman told newsmen that 25-year-old Muhammad Faisal, a resident of Basti Kamalar near Khanpur, was at his house when three men broke in and attacked him.

He said the men beat him up and poured acid on his face. He said Faisal’s face and neck had been burnt in the incident. He was taken to Shaikh Zayed Hospital where he remained in intensive care. He said a police team had recorded Faisal’s statement. He had told them he had been attacked over an old rivalry. The spokesman said the men he had identified had been arrested and a team had been formed to interrogate them.
