Assistant Commissioner Arshad Sidhu said the factory administration had owed sugarcane farmers Rs150 million.
He said they had refused to pay the farmers their dues. Khalid Munir Chaudhry, a member of the Kissan Ittehad, said the factory had not paid the farmers for 11 months.
He said they were glad that the administration had taken action against the general manager.
