Promoting literature: Punjab governor assures PAL of full cooperation

The governor appreciated the idea and assured him of his full support

Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana has said that writers, poets and

literati in Pakistan have always played a crucial role in promoting
love, harmony and cohesion in society through their work.

While talking to Pakistan Academy of Letters Chairman Dr Muhammad Qasim  Bughio in Lahore on Friday, Rajwana said that he will extend every support to the academy to complete work on its Multan office, which will be inaugurated soon.

Dr Bughio apprised the governor that the PAL was going to organise a conference on Sufism in Multan to mark the opening of the office.

He said that the conference also aimed to spread the message of love and harmony to counter those spreading hatred in society.

The governor appreciated the idea and assured him of his full support.
