Robbed at gunpoint: MQM MNA’s car snatched

MQM MNA feared that the car may be used in some terrorist activity

KARACHI:
Muttahida Qaumi Movement lawmaker Kishwer Zehra’s car was snatched by unidentified men in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Monday. Zehra, who was elected to the National Assembly on a reserved seat for women in Sindh in the 2013 general elections, said that some armed men intercepted the car driven by her chauffer. The armed men stayed in the car for more than an hour, forcing the driver to roam around random streets. Zehra was not present in the car but it had an MNA licence plate on it. The suspects also removed the tracker installed in the car so that it could not be traced, she added. Soon after incident, the lawmaker lodged a complaint with the police. She feared that the car may be used in some terrorist activity.
