At least two people died in separate incidents
ABBOTTABAD/HARIPUR:
At least two people died in separate incidents in Abbottabad and Haripur on Saturday.
In the first incident, a boy died after he drowned in a water tank in a village in Sera-e-Nehmat Khan union council.
A police official quoted Mushtaq, a resident of Manglor Colony, as saying the incident occurred when his house was being repaired.
“The labourers left the lid of underground water tank open,” the official cited Mushtaq as saying. “Seven-year-old son Muneeb was accidentally slipped and fell into the tank and drowned. The family realised this when one of the labourers found his body floating in the water tank.”
Separately, a teenage boy was found dead in a remote village of Havelian tehsil on Saturday. According to a police official, Ali Asghar Khan of Banda Said Khan village said 16-year-old Saad Ali went to a cattle pen and did not return home.
