KARACHI: K-Electric (KE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NED's mechanical engineering department whereby KE will sponsor their formula racing car to compete in the upcoming Formula SAE in Italy.

It will be the first and only team representing Pakistan in Italy this year, said a press statement issued by KE.

Formula SAE is one of the biggest global engineering design competitions, which focuses on car design and its manufacturing. More than 250 teams from across the globe will take part in the racing competition, which be held from July 22 to July 25.

The NED team will be led by Muhammad Ahsan Arshad and Muhammad Rafi. We are sad to see that Pakistan has no representations in such competitions, remarked the two team leaders.
