KARACHI: Recent incidents of high-profile targeted killing and kidnapping in Karachi are a cause of concern for the business community, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Senior Vice President Shaikh Khalid Tawab said.

Voicing concern over worsening law and order situation in Karachi, he said that back to back incidents in the financial capital will affect business activities and the confidence of investors.

Tawab expressed distress over the assassination of renowned qawwal Amjad Sabri and kidnapping of the son of Chief Justice Sindh High Court.

He said that the anti-social elements have again emerged to sabotage the law and order situation in Karachi which was normalised by the Rangers operation.

He further said that the number of kidnapping cases, ransom, robbery and street crimes have been increasing again, especially in Ramazan.

He urged the government and law and order agencies to take strict actions against the anti-social element and culprits involved in the murder of Sabri and kidnapping of Owais Sajjad.
