ISLAMABAD: A man was arrested for allegedly attempting to commit suicide, over a family dispute, in Bhara Kahu, on Monday.
Muhammad Qasim, a resident of Nainsukh, allegedly had a verbal altercation with his family over a domestic issue, police said, adding that following the argument, the man rushed to the market, bought a knife and stabbed himself in front of people.
The eyewitnesses stopped him from causing further harm to himself and informed the police who reached the spot and took him into custody.
A case has been registered against him and further investigation is under way.
